QuarterShare is the most cost-effective yacht ownership solution for those who plan to spend between twenty days and ten weeks per year onboard. QuarterShare does not offer actual ownership of a yacht, but rather membership in 25% increments in an LLC that owns a yacht in a for-profit venture. Thus, the experience of large yacht ownership becomes an investment opportunity vs. the losing proposition of owning a depreciating asset, in this case a yacht.

All of our employees are experts at what they do, cover every aspect of yacht management, and include the best crews, concierge, maintenance professionals, owner services teams, and many others whose only goal is to make your ownership experience and time on board as safe and enjoyable as possible.

QuarterShare Captains are among the best and most experienced in the world. Every crew member undergoes ongoing training and examination. Our Director of Yacht Operations has decades of experience on commercial vessels, crossing most of the oceans around the world both as Captain and Lead Engineer. Our First Officers are also Coast Guard certified Captains having had years of experience on private yachts.

Guest Attendants onboard every QuarterShare vessel are carefully screened to ensure the ultimate cruising experience for our members and guests.  Trip Coordinators and Customer Service Representatives have also had years of experience in the hospitality and yachting industries. All new hires go through intense background checks and drug screening prior to and during employment. QuarterShare International will compromise nothing to assure the safety and enjoyable experience of our owners and their guests while onboard our vessels.

OPERATIONS

Every vessel in the QuarterShare fleet, much like managed commercial aircraft, are maintained to a very high standard both on a calendar and predictive maintenance schedule. Our crews and client services staff are responsible for the safety and integrity of each trip, as well as the life onboard experience, while additional professionals are responsible for yacht detailing, cleaning, and routine maintenance, ensuring that all of our vessels are always in “show room new” condition.

Integral to QuarterShare yacht management is our Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) far exceeding regulatory standards.   All QuarterShare vessels are placed into this program, which maintains each vessel in like-new condition, thus enhancing your cruising enjoyment, while ensuring optimal resale value.  The PMP is maintained by the Chief of Yacht Operations, and is continually audited for thoroughness and efficiency.  Each LLC receives quarterly audits of its vessel’s maintenance records.

A clean yacht is a happy yacht!  We take great pride in the presentation of QuarterShare vessels, and ensure that each vessel is maintained in like-new condition.  After each trip, all linens are freshly sanitized, all dishes and eating utensils are sterilized, and every surface of your vessel is thoroughly cleaned until it sparkles.  Exterior detailing is performed regularly, ensuring that your vessel looks brand new upon each boarding.

QuarterShare vessels and their systems are monitored via satellite while underway by our operations professionals.  Much like an airline operation, our captains must obtain a release from operations each time a yacht leaves port, ensuring that a long list of safety items and weather conditions have been both checked and verified prior to release. Guests receive a safety briefing that includes a description of the route of the cruise and an overview of emergency procedures prior to each trip.

Every QuarterShare owner enjoys access to a fleet of identical or similar yachts to the one they own with the opportunity to utilize any like vessels in the fleet. The QuarterShare Fleet factor is based on a forty-week operational calendar, thus providing twelve weeks of scheduled maintenance, shuttle time, and rest for each vessel. The program is designed to reduce scheduling conflicts, minimize vessel downtime, maximize return on investment, and provide an efficient platform for crew rest and scheduling.

With two QuarterShare offices currently in operation on the east coast of the United States, QuarterShare International as our fleet expands will soon have additional offices in California, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. These additional locations provide a diversity of cruising destinations for our owners and charter clients.
